The Department of Environmental Programs is responsible for the development, coordination, and implementation of initiatives that promote environmental stewardship, sustainability, and compliance. Our main program is the County-wide residential curbside recycling collection program; however, we oversee multiple programs that reduce environmental impact, and foster a culture of responsibility through education, policy development, and community engagement.

The Department has established on-going working relationships with external partners to ensure adherence to environmental regulations. From managing waste reduction programs to environmental education campaigns, the department plays a critical role in shaping a healthier, more sustainable future.
