The County of Mercer partnered with the New Jersey Purchasing Group to publish solicitations and we welcome your participation using BidNet Direct as our electronic bidding service. All Purchasing bid opportunities will now be posted and available on the BidNet website.
The Mercer County Department of Purchasing's effort to provide a fair, transparent and competitive arena for the entire marketplace results from the core belief that public sector procurement must achieve the very best value. We seek valued, competent business partners with each purchase. This goal could not be met without active quotes, bids and proposals from the competitive market that seek opportunities to earn our business.
The Department of Purchasing complies with procurement practices in accordance with the New Jersey Local Public Contracts Law 40:A:11-1 et seq.
Goods and services are procured through quote, bid or request for proposal. Upon advertising for bids or proposals, the Department of Purchasing sends specifications by vendor request or to vendors currently registered on the vendor list. Bids and proposals are opened publicly in the Mercer County Improvement Authority.
